    Symbolism

    As it was said before, the whole concept of Neon Genesis Evangelion is laden with mythical and biblical references. The Human Instrumentality Project is said to be described in the Qumran scrolls, as well as the return of the angels and the second Impact was.
    But there is more, special terms used in the series, events or persons that are in a certain context to biblical texts.
